2012 Spring Baseball
Registration fee $50 from Monday January 9, 2012 to Monday February 20, 2012
Registrations after February 20, 2012 will include a late fee of $15 and will be accepted if space is available
A copy of childs birth certificate is required for anyone who did not play spring baseball last year
Registration is now open for Palmer Baseball. Players must be Palmer resident, 6 yrs. of age by April 30th of 2012 to register, see below for co-ed tee ball ages. All players 12 and under will be placed in Division based on age as of April 30th date. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THIS RULE!
Palmer Baseball offers a variety of programs so all players have an opportunity to play at each age group.
Palmer Co-Ed Tee Ball- for boys and girls 6 yrs. of age to learn the basics of our sport. Girls must be 6 yrs. of age before April 1st, Boys are April 30th 2012. They will be split into Softball and Baseball Leagues after 1 yr. of Tee ball, and the Leagues age requirements are different for each sport. Players will learn skills like throwing, fielding and hitting off tee, positions, etc. This is first stage, and girls will move to softball after 1 year of Tee Ball.
Palmer Coach Pitch – 7/8 yr. old boys. Palmer Township teams. Scores are not kept at this level. Advanced level of training include fielding, Batting, throwing, learning various positions, and basic skills.
G.E.A.B.L. 9-12 yr. olds- Kid Pitch League competitive consisting of Palmer, Easton, Forks and St. Jane’s Teams. Advanced skills including, pitching, catching, base stealing, and proper mechanics of player’s positions.
Jr. Legion Prep. Team- 1 team consisting of 13 yr. olds and some 12 yr. olds with higher skills that are chosen to play based on ability. Try outs are required for this level.
Bushkill Valley League- 13-14 yr. old players. Players will play at advanced level with teams from surrounding communities.
Jr. Legion- 1 team chosen of 16 and under players to compete at a higher level. This team is also chosen by tryouts and those players accepted to play on the High School teams. This League starts after High School Baseball programs end.
Sr. Legion- 1 Team 18 and under. Season starts after High School Baseball is over.
Connie Mac- 16 and under. This is a competitive league for players that want to continue with baseball and play at a competitive level. While still learning to improve skills, this is for all eligible players to continue to play and some may be rostered up or down to other levels depending on our needs. It is a highly competitive league and offers versatility to our program.
Please register early so we can estimate number of teams required for each level.
Anyone trying out for High School teams should still sign up now.
Those players accepted on High School teams may start after school season is over.
All players will be notified of Try out dates for upper levels.
