The objective of this class is to address the specific needs of the puppy. It is centered on household manners, management and socialization. This class includes free play sessions and handling by different people to strengthen the social skills needed for a healthy and happy adult dog. Basic refreshers/education for owners include: canine care, feeding, health, managing puppies and children, teaching the beginning of obedience skills, confidence building, puppy tunnels, jumps, noises and more! BASIC DOG OBEDIENCE |
This is a basic obedience class for the family pet focusing on a variety of skills needed for life with your dog. This course covers managing the common problems: housebreaking, chewing, jumping, counter surfing, teaching manners-attention skills, basic obedience skills, sit for greeting, go to place, beginning work on the reliable recall and loose leash walking. The emphasis on how to teach your dog so the skills learned in class will transform your dog into the companion you have always wanted! DOG TRACKING |
Track with Your Dogs! This class will start with the fundamentals of teaching your dog to follow their nose! Tracking is a natural activity for all dogs and puppies, tuning their skills to follow human scent is fun and great exercise for both owner and dog. All classes will be held outside, so please dress appropriately and wear sturdy footwear. Dogs will need a harness, flat buckle collar, 6 foot leash-humans will need warm clothing and a baggie full of soft, training treats. Other equipment will be provided. Puppies are encouraged and welcome as are all dog friendly dogs or instructor permision. Prior experience or obedience training not necessary, but a nice sit will help your dog get started.
